Poetry Monday

I'm sorry for all of these weeks of defection
My excuse? Am I hard on the path to perfection?
Or simply distracted, losing track of time?
Unable to type up the simplest rhyme.
My head full of stories, ears buzzing with voices.
My nerves shot with worry 'bout editing choices.
My pocketbook empty, my life a bit crazy.
What I had for dinner last night a bit hazy.
So sorry again for the time I've been gone
Next week, though, I promise-I'll have a new song. :)

Hey, that's what poetry's all about, R.G.! :D And I haven't actually written a poem in ages -- I'm scared to even think about trying.

Cute. I could have used something like this on more than one occasion.
